Beaches Negril – Xbox, Sesame Street, Amazing Beach; Need I Say More?

This was our second time to Beaches Negril, as we toured Jamaica in October. Here, you’ll find twenty acres of lush, oceanfront property on about a quarter mile stretch of Negril’s famed Seven Mile Beach.  The beach isn’t just one of those skimpy beaches where you walk from the path almost right in to the ocean; it’s BIG.  The ocean isn’t just any bit of ocean either; it’s beautiful and it’s calm – perfect for snorkeling, watersports and that 18 month old baby that wants to frolic a bit in the water.

OK, so we’re in love with the beach and the water, so let’s turn around and head in to the resort, where you’ll find a playground for everyone from tots to teens.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have a few minutes off duty, mom and dad?  For your tots, there is a kids camp that is open from 9a-9p daily that features a wide range of activities, supervised by trained nannies.  There are 4 age groups with different activities, so your 10 year old doesn’t have to worry about hanging out with the babies.  In addition to the kids program, your tots will love the splash pad available in the water park, or maybe you’d like to take them around the lazy river with you.  For your teens, there’s the Xbox play lounge open from 9a-11p with about 30 stations with tons of games and if they’d prefer to play alone, there’s an Xbox in each room.  They’ll also have access to their own teen center and “night club”.  For those in-between, there are tons of activities to keep your kids entertained – Sesame Street characters and programs, kids diving programs, waterslides, miniature golf, basketball and more.

The Rooms:  There are 10 room categories at Beaches Negril that can accommodate up to 12 people. Your views, the size of your room and level of service all all dependent on the room category you choose.  As at all Sandals/Beaches Resorts, there are three levels of service:  Luxury, Club and Butler.  As us about the difference in these levels.

The hotel has 9 different places to eat, as well as 6 bars, and entertainment throughout the day and in the evening.  Contact us at to learn more about Beaches Negril!
